Feeling Chilly

We met Tony with Bertie the whippet in the field this morning. Merlin was most excited as he gets biscuits from Tony and a good sprint with Bertie. After a couple of hours outside were feeling in need of a hot drink - the bright sunshine has been accompanied by a steady northerly wind. So we returned home and warmed up.

This was the scene as we looked west just after sunset at Emsworth this evening. It made a change to be there at dusk rather than in daylight. Groups of visitors lingered on the beach watching the spectacle, no doubt they are about to return to London after their new year’s holidays. As we walked back it was quiet and empty - just us, the remains of the sunset and a chill breeze.

- To catch-up with my allotment neighbours this afternoon and compare experiences of winter veg growing.
- To watch the sunset at Emsworth and feel the day drawing to a close.
