Warming Up

After some early morning rain, sunshine and blue sky appeared. We walked at Emsworth to visit the bakery and avoid the muddy field. It was busy, but we found a quiet spot on a bench to ponder the comings and goings. The lobster pot Christmas tree was being taken down on the quayside, visitors not used to muddy footpaths tip toed as they attempted to keep white trainers pristine, dogs barked and ran along the foreshore, and out at sea a sailing boat moved swiftly along the horizon until it was out of sight.

Grateful today:
- For two sunny hours in the cool air working at the allotment. The blueberry bushes are now potted out and I’ve a newly created wood chip path down the length of the new plot.
- For a delicious lamb curry for dinner which Andy had spent the afternoon creating. It included spinach harvested from the allotment today.
- For a relaxing morning and evening, important points of the day and ones where I need a bit of time to warm up and wind down.
