Kenmore Hill Temple

An unexpectedly good day doing the recce for the Castle Semple Trail which I’ll lead at the end of the month. I had no intention of doing this today but looking out of the window the weather looked 100% better than forecast, so I left my coffee break spanish unfinished and with a bit of an improvised picnic lunch, mainly Christmas cake, I was at Howwood Station by 11am.

The sun was setting as I finished at the RSPB centre and the Peel Tower at the end of the boardwalk where a kingfisher flew past.

The extra is the Collegiate Church built in 1504, and where John Sempill is buried following his death at the Battle of Flodden.
