On the way to the library

I feel like my life is flashing by far too fast whenever I receive a text reminding me that I have “an item that is soon due back”. They arrive at 3 weekly intervals.

I returned several books this afternoon and was rewarded with the grey heron, perched on the tree beside the Shawbridge. It was still there half an hour or so later on my way home.
