Travel ...

... day.

We were up at crazy o’clock for an early morning flight back to Newark Airport from San Diego.  Thankfully everything went smoothly at the car rental office and made it to the airport in plenty of time.  TSA went smoothly and we were at our gate in no time flat. 

We were up in the air and on our way.  The flight was relatively smooth … with only the occasional bumps.  We had great weather up until we reached Newark!  And then it was rain, rain, rain!

But, thankfully, there were no weather related issues.  We were on the ground safely and then on to baggage claim to pick up our luggage.  We only had a short wait for the shuttle back to where we usually park our car.  The trip home from the airport was about an hour and a half. 
We arrived safely home to our kitties by 8:00 pm.  It was a long travel day but it was great getting home to them … and they were super happy to see us.
