Abbotsbury

I planned to run this morning, but it was raining quite heavily, so I didn’t.  TT did go out for a run and came back absolutely soaked.

Our picnic from yesterday was still in the Friday, so we decided to resurrect yesterday’s plan and head to Abbotsbury.  We stopped in Bridport to make some purchases from the wine/beer shop, and then continued on our way.  We headed to the sub-tropical gardens and thankfully the rain had gone off.  We had a nice wander, and were pleased that the weather improved.  We had our picnic in the garden and later stopped for more sustenance at the garden café before we left.  It was so nice to sit in the sunshine, given how the day had started.

We drove to the village and parked up and went for a walk up to St Catherine’s chapel, then back down again and round the village.  There were lovely views to be had from the chapel.

We then made our way back home.  It was such a lovely evening I walked to the supermarket for a couple of things.  We had tea when I got back and BB watched a Harry Potter film.

This is a garden in Abbotsbury village, so full of colour.  The sub-tropical garden had loads of beautiful hydrangeas (extra).  St Catherine’s Chapel is the second extra, with the view of the village in the third extra
