Bunting

I had a long lie – I needed it. TT headed off to church and BB headed off to work.  Meanwhile I was pottering around doing a few chores in my pyjamas.  Later in the morning I headed down town as I needed to get a few things.  Once home I used up the second baguette I got yesterday for our lunch.  It was slightly chewier than yesterday, but still very nice.

Later in the afternoon TT took a break from his gardening and went for a haircut.  I walked into town with him, as I had forgotten something this morning.  I couldn’t find what I wanted, and ended up buying two totally unrelated things.  I didn’t have long to wait ion TT, and once he was done, we had a walk by the river.  We weren’t long home when I had to go and pick BB up from work.  It took us ages to get home due to road works.

BB had a quick turn around and grabbed some food and got himself ready to go out to a party.  He then disappeared to a friend’s house.  TT and I were also invited to the party – but only for a short period of time.  It was a leaving party for one of BB@s friends, who is heading off overseas to teach English for a year.  It was interesting being in a room with a bunch of eighteen year olds.  They stayed clear of us!

We had a couple of drinks and then all the parents disappeared off at the same time.  We came home and had tea, which was a veggie moussaka made with home grown produce – aubergine, courgette, potatoes, and we ate it with a small side of home-grown beans and broccoli..  It was delicious.

The local community gardening group has been yarn bombing around town.  I like the knitted bunting that has appeared.
