Gazing in wonder

The meerkats (not real) look as if they are mesmerised by the ever-changing colours of the fibre optic Christmas tree.
A busy morning preparing stuffing, cranberry sauce and vegetables for tomorrow’s Christmas dinner. Then off to church for our Christmas Eve service. It was heart-warming to see so many folk turn up for it and their singing lifted the rafters! Lots of folk said how much they had enjoyed it which was good to hear.
I was ready for the relaxing evening that followed. It did feel strange to have no last-minute wrapping of presents for Nick as we have decided not to buy each other Christmas presents this year. Instead, we will be buying ourselves a BIG present which will be “unwrapped”  sometime in 2024.
