Shortest Day

A grey day to be off work. I spent the morning at the allotment putting blueberries into pots and digging at the new plot. It was good to be outside and on my first day of holiday.

These are straw flowers I grew at the allotment in the summer, then dried and made into a festive garland.

8 years today since Mum died.

Grateful:
- To hear from family on this day.
- To be in the fresh air with time to sit and remember.
- For Merlin and his warmth and kindness.
