Alarm

Yay! No more work until next year.  I may need to check a couple of things tomorrow but on the whole it's been a good end to the year. In the last four days I've resolved two resourcing challenges, including interviewing and offering a job to someone today, have (hopefully) negotiated down a big contract, bringing it in on budget (ish) and helped someone else move onto a new role.  

There's been a lot of unnecessary hassle as well but that always happens. In the end you have to ask yourself what is really going to happen over the next week that can't wait. The answer is inevitably nothing!

A few beers at my friend's pub was a nice end to the week. Himself is working tomorrow but probably only the morning as he wants to see his brother in the afternoon, who's just had some unexpected news health-wise.  Then it's alarms off  for a whole week.
