Summer Fruit

The allotment on a dark damp Saturday in December. Here I spent a few hours this afternoon putting in the strawberry plants and raspberry canes I collected earlier this week. I’ve got two varieties of each. The raspberries are autumn fruiting (as opposed to the summer fruiting raspberries in Plot 2). So here you can see Plot 3 which I took on in May. It was really overgrown back then but as you can see I’m making progress.

Grateful today for:
- Not having to get out of bed by any particular time (other than to give Merlin his breakfast).
- Plenty of time outside being active.
- A tasty Indian meal for dinner, cooked by Andy.
