Dear Green Place 19 - Clyde View Park
This might not qualify as a Glasgow park as it's in Renfrew, but I like it too much to exclude it. This is one of the newest parks - completed in 2005 as part of a River Clyde regeneration project. It's a little further west along the riverside walkway from Braehead. It's beautifully laid out and includes a lot of wildflower areas and sculptures dotted around the park which focus on the industrial history of the area. I also like the sound of this park - there are two fountains in the ponds and a stream which runs over rocks and steps and makes great sounds. It feels really spacious and tranquil. And today I saw a newt for the first time in one of the ponds.
