Trixie's Adventures

By TrixieTheCollie

The burn has burst it's banks!!!

Another horrible, horrible, horrible day. It has rained and rained and rained. It's still raining. Who would have believed that there was so much rain in the sky???

I got soaked on my first thing in the morning walk, and so did Ann, and then at about 11am (when her clothes were dry again), she said, 'Trixie, let's go out for another walk and you can have some run about time.'

We went to Braidburn Valley Park and the burn had burst it's banks. There was water all over the place. On the path, on the grass, everywhere. I didn't mind. I still had a good time running around, splashing in the makeshift ponds and rolling around on my back. I was extremely wet & stinky by the time I got home. So was Ann!! She had to take all her clothes off!! I know, I know, too much information!!!

This afternoon I had to stay 'home alone' while Ann went to the Panto. Oh yes she did! If anyone lives in Edinburgh, she would thoroughly recommend going to see 'Peter Pan at the Festival Theatre'. She really enjoyed it.

She had to wait 20 mins for a bus in torrential rain, but once home, she took me for another little trek around, in the rain, on my lead.

We've got wet clothes and dog towels drying all over the flat. All the heating is on. My human is still cold.

Oh well, hey ho, we should be back in St Ives on Friday and our lying weather app is telling us it's going to be 13C. My human is just about to pack her swimming costume, ready for the Boxing Day swim. Lol!!!...............................
