Women’s Caucus for Art
My mentor is president elect of the Women’s Caucus for Art. Now she is a member of the DC area chapter and next year she’ll be president of the national org. She invited me to to their potluck today and then asked if I wanted to talk about my project. I said yes.
I gave the best speech I have in years. I gave the best speech I’ve given since my accident. Someone afterwards asked if I had been an actress. With Covid I’ve gone so deeply into my introvert self I wasn’t sure this extrovert even still existed.
I included two asks

Afterwards so many people approached me that I realized I should also have asked that they let their friends with trans youth know that they could vote on the pictures.
It is interesting how we always think whatever we as a world are experiencing right now is the most dire ever. Things are dire, but they are always dire.
Today was a rainy day. This morning I did not want to get out of bed. My argument was that I got out of bed yesterday and I shouldn’t have to do it every day.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is why we have to pee. There are just some days we would not get out of bed otherwise.
Ukraine is continuing to remove Soviet statues and put them in museums while people photograph and film the process.
A presidential veto in Bulgaria blocked a deal to send Ukraine 100 armored personnel vehicles. The parliament has voted to override that veto, the deal is back on.
An organization named United Help Ukraine is helping bring Ukrainian soldiers to the US to get help with prosthetics.
