silly Christmas decorations

This blow-up unicorn is a Christmas decoration. I took this with a funny little star aperture disk in a Lensbaby optic. This is why the lights look like little stars. 

I saw a YouTube video that explained I should remove the dead leaves from my hostas because they are perfect for harboring baby slugs. It also said NOT TO COMPOST because they may already have baby slugs. I did find a few slugs but I also found ..... baby plants! It doesn't really make sense. If they were my fall crocuses they would all look the same so I wonder if climate change has confused some plants. Also, my climbing hydrangea has tiny green leaves coming out. I know that is wrong. 

Have you seen the movie Three Thousand Years of Longing? I watched it last night - I liked how they treated the main character. 

Russia is hitting Ukraine with a barrage of Iranian drones but Ukraine gets progressively better at taking them down. Three cops in Kyiv shot down a drone a month ago. Yesterday Ukraine's Air Force shot down ten of  fifteen of them. 


Mid-November there were emails leaked from someone at Russia's Federal Security Service (current KGB). There is anger inside the FSB about the war. The emails predict civil war as people grow tired of the war. 


Yevgeny Prigozhin is the founder of the Wagner Group and a Putin ally. The Institute for the STudy of WAr thinks he could pose a threat to Putin. "We (FSB) screwed up the country...."



The M-55S is a Soviet tank from the 1950s but modernized. In the 1990s Slovenia paid to have 30 of its T-55s modified. Later they bought newer tanks and put these in storage. Now they appear to be in Ukraine. The best thing about the tank is that they have a fancy British gun that works with a wide range of ammunition and therefore it should be easy to keep it supplied. 


Those strikes inside Russia? They are scaring the crap out of formerly warmongering Russians. "Even Moscow is no longer safe!" The bombers that take off from the airbases that Ukraine hit have been attacking civilian infrastructure and now Ukraine has hit them. Moscow is closer to Ukraine than their airbases.
