First Snowfall
As darkness fell last night, our snow began falling and sticking in earnest. My sister asked the guys to make sure we were up before it melted. Hubby woke me up at 7:00 am and I headed out to get a blip. Our BIL saw me snapping pics dressed in my long flannel gown and told my sister , ”your sister is a crazy woman.” I imagine those words could sound familiar to some of you. We collected the liquid containers that can freeze this winter and stored them in the basement. Later, we decided to go back to town since the roads were clear. We found several useful items that will be perfect stocking stuffers and free after a rebate. We bought other gifts as well and enjoyed simply window shopping at some shops. Dinner was leftovers so the evening was ours. My aunt was moved to the hospice unit of the nursing home. We will do our best to go through Baltimore to visit her on the way home on Saturday. We will also be taking Skylar to lunch near her campus. Plus, we promised Parker apple cider donuts from our favorite bakery along our route. Wonder how long this trip home will take. The snow has melted off the trees but there is a bit on the grass. This was a perfect kind of snowfall. We spent another wonderful day in WV. I hope yours was great also. Stay safe. We just heard three have died in the Las Vegas attack today. Can’t wait for Skylar to get off her college campus. Thanks for visiting. “The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?” - J. B. Priestley
