Success

Making sourdough bread is both an art and science. Certain things are rather unpredictable. In the summer it was too hot and proving the bread properly was tricky. Now the house is cooler and the results are better. I only took this one photo today as I have been busy trying to sort out an electricity bill. Is it very frustrating as I made three long calls to sort out an issue. They never sent me the bill and now two weeks later there is a €40 penalty for not paying by tonight. I tried to pay on their website but the site did not work. Customer services said they could do nothing about it, but I would still get the €40 penalty, despite the whole episode being their fault. Our treasurer has had the same problem with the bank with them confusing accounts and passwords making our respective accounts inaccessible online. At least I got to play some tennis in the morning and had a good doubles match and have spent the afternoon with Bernard, me reading French texts and him reading English ones. It was a good study afternoon. There was a quick bellringing practice after that. I got back just in time to put the bread in the oven before it had risen too much.
