Arles by the river
I am now in Arles, Provence, for the rest of the summer. This is an ancient city, which was the first Roman capital of the Gaul. But the Greeks were there too before. It became a very famous religious place in the Middle Ages. This is why the city is a UNESCO World Heritage for its Roman and Medieval monuments. This picture was taken from a bridge above the Rhône River. I played a bit with the picture to make it look like an old photograph in keeping with the 2,000 years of its past history.
