Canal in Beaucaire

The Rhone River separates Provence from Languedoc. Tarascon is in Provence whereas Beaucaire is in Languedoc. This canal serves as a harbor for barges and pleasure boats. It links the Rhone River to the Mediterranean sea. Beaucaire used to be an important market in the Middle Ages. Today, it is a sleepy town but they have nicely arranged the canal area, which is high in colors by the end of the day like on this picture. The canal faces West at sunset, so I used a bit the water reflection and thought it would be good to use another special effect on this picture rather than present it raw.
