St Jame’s Park
A great day in London starting with a very large almond croissant that lasted me pretty much all day. I walked from Bayswater to the Houses of Parliament via the parks spotting the parakeets and what I think are Egyptian Geese, extra, quite exotic looking.
I was met in St Stephen’s Hall by Steward McDonald’s researcher who gave me an excellent tour with lots of added value. On my way out to get a coffee I spotted a suntanned David Cameron jauntily hopping out of a car en route to his swearing in. I returned an hour or so later and after queuing for ages I spent the rest of the afternoon in the public gallery listening to questions on levelling up.
I slipped into Westminster Abbey for Evensong before returning to the Vancouver Studios for a picnic supper.
