Today's the day ....................... to win win

This afternoon in Kirkcudbright, there was a fund-raising Fashion Show in aid of the Marie Curie Cancer Care Foundation.

We were treated to an entertaining display of clothes and accessories provided by six of the local shops. The outfit above came from Eco Art, the latest enterprise to open in the town - and it was the finale of the show.  It was the most glamorous way of using bin-liners that I have ever seen!  We had plenty to eat and prosecco/tea/coffee to drink while we watched the show.  There was a big raffle of prizes donated from businesses in the town - it was all a lot of fun. 

It was very well attended and so, I imagine that lots of money would have been raised for Marie Curie.  Add to that, the profile and the publicity that the local shops would have had and the enjoyment of all who attended - and it really was a win/win situation all round .....................
