Friends Enjoying Life
I finally felt like going out so hubby and I ate breakfast and headed our separate ways. He picked up my asthma meds, a Christmas gift and my mother’s medicine. He decided to take her a surprise lunch and one for himself and spend some time with her. I had to pick up Brooklyn so I could not join them. My sister was worried about our mother’s demeanor when they visited last night. The surprise was on hubby. He could not find my mother at her house and none of her contacts had any idea where she was. He did not have a key to go in and look for her. While he was busy, I shopped for the rest of my stocking stuffers. I had one more item to locate when I heard a familiar voice: my mother’s cousin and best friend. Turns out, they decided to go to lunch and get some groceries. What a relief. I quickly snapped this shot and sent it out to everyone worried where she might be. You can see they thought their antics were funny. She called me later and said she felt much better today. This role reversal is tough! I got to Brooklyn’s bus stop one minute before the bus arrived. After dropping her off at her home, hubby and I ate the lunches he’d bought - our dinner. I’ve distributed all the purchased Christmas items in the recipient’s box so I can bag them up for our trip. It will feel good to have the purchasing and wrapping finished by mid-December. Hope your day was worry-free. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting my journal.
