Knockout Roses in mid-November
Today was spent contingency planning. We weren’t sure our BIL’s truck would be out of the shop for the trip so we changed the transport plans. Parker’s last game starts at 12:30 on Sunday so we can’t grab our perishables on the way to the farm and still get there at a reasonable time (~10:30 pm). They will be four days fresher. I separated the grocery lists accordingly. Late today, they got word the problem was identified, repaired and best of all, under warranty. Tubs and one cooler will go with them; we will bring the rest. The new plan is better overall. Hubby picked up meds, I got the remaining stocking stuff. We both packed our suitcases and hubby changed the oil in his SUV while I tagged and bagged Christmas gifts to take/wrap at the farm. I took a break to walk about the property. Am amazed we still have roses this late in the season. Hubby has to take Millie for her annual vet appointment. Hope he gets good news. It is time to make our pork loin dinner and then our evening will be free. Wishing you a productive day. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “Love thou the rose, yet leave it on its stem." - Edward G.
