Soothing Saturday

I really like the soft under-side of this rose. I think sleeping in a bed of fresh soft rose pedals would be amazing.

This has been the most stress-free wonderful day. I have enjoyed myself completely and other than writing one check to pay one bill, I have, I think, accomplished nothing. "Relaxing" is the best description for this day.

We knew that we needed to get to the local animal shelter today during the four-hours that they would be open 10:00-2:00. It was time to get a license for Max and Mitzi. That was an extremely pleasant experience because Mr. Fun has some friends there and they made the whole thing painless. Max and Mitzi now have new tags hanging from their collars.

As crazy as this sounds, today was the first time that I have driven our new car. We purchased it on Monday, May 6. Hey, I just didn't want to "rush" it! ;-) So I hopped in the driver's seat and Mr. Fun rode shotgun. We purchased the car for Mr. Fun, but I have to admit driving it was quite pleasant. It is an automatic with a back-up camera and many more frills. I'm okay keeping and driving my '91 Dodge Shadow with the 5-speed transmission and the windows that have hand-cranks!

Most of the afternoon we sat on the patio and simply enjoyed doing nothing. Isn't that what Saturdays are for? I haven't had such a relaxing Saturday in forever!
