Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Splash

High tide happened just before nightfall as we watched just south of the Oceanside pier.

Traveling south on the coast, we went right to the border of Solana Beach and Del Mar today. The waves were big and rough and furious all day. They were also quite entertaining.

We thought we might get a spectacular sunset when the clouds pulled back to expose the sun 90-minutes before sunset, but no deal. Instead the waves crashed, splashed, and sprayed as walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and passing vehicles traveled the edge where land and sea collide.

This has been a soothing summer day. Mr. Fun would say this has been a "musical" day because he found someone's donated jazz collection at the Friends of the Solana Beach Library Store. He walked out with 19 CDs, 1 DVD, and a book that I wanted. Oh the joy!

Tomorrow we head inland to home. This has been a brief 2-night mini-vacation in north San Diego County, but mighty fun.

Good night from the edge of the Pacific Ocean.
