Another glorious day.JR was expecting a delivery, estimated time between 8.30 -12.30. I waited in till she came home. No delivery. So then Archie and I went out. We took the bus along to `Braidburn Valley Park - I haven't been there for ages. The copse of trees had lots of yelling kids. Perhaps it was a science lesson, but the way they were chucking bundles of leaves at each other, I doubt it. So we walked on, over the bridge at the end, and when we came back on the other side of the river, they were gone.
There was a 15 minute wait for the bus, so I decided to walk to next stop. Bad idea. The local primary school was just disgorging the pupils (Edinburgh schools finish at midday on Fridays) and what with extra parents and dogs meeting them, it was a bit of a nightmare getting through the melee.
While I was on the bus, JR texted to say that the parcel hadn't arrived, but she had to go to her hair appointment. I was almost home, but there would have been about five minutes when there was nobody at home. The delivery did not arrive in the afternoon. Did it come in the 5 minutes when nobody was home?
JR and Archie went out for a walk in the afternoon. I watched the Secret Genious of Modern Life with Hannah Fry, this week explaining about passports. It's a fascinating (second) series.
Another fascinating series, and it's an old one, though I've never seen it before, it's about the busiest railway in the world - based in Mumbai Central Station. There were several episodes this week, and it might not sound very interesting, but it really was.
I had lots of shots of Archie in leaves, of course, but there’s been quite enough of them lately. I couldn’t resist the lady and two wee dugs in the sunshine…
