Puca Parade
A massive day! Out of the house by 9am and on the road to Clonakilty for my talk, part of the Samhain Festival. Lovely to meet Mark the organiser and I was nicely ensconced in a loft usually used for yoga. A really interested and interesting audience with some good chats afterwards and lots of nice things said.
Then we nipped over to see Cheeryoscuro and Hic who had prepared a sumptuous lunch for us - much needed and fantastic to have a long overdue catch up with them. We met poor Siofra who was looking very bruised and shaved and a bit sorry for herself after breaking her leg in the dunes. She's being very well looked after but is not keen on the cone of shame!
We then had a romp on Inchydoney strand inbetween the downpours and then went back into town for the Puca Parade, the grand finale of the festival. It was brilliant! So creative and inventive, and all costumes wonderfully organic - and yes, pretty scary! Well done Mark!
We even had time for some chips before we headed for home. Phew!
