Thriving In East Yorkshire
The great thing about having Sushi home is having some company on my lunchtime dog walk. Today we headed out of the village to the bridge across the beck.
The bridge and nearby bushes were covered in these iridescent blue bugs. Sushi (an aspiring entomologist) identified them as the Alder Leaf Beetle. They are unusual in that they were thought to be extinct in the UK until 2004 when they were found in Manchester. Clearly they are thriving in East Yorkshire!
