We Were Never At Serious Risk

Started today meeting a friend Lucy with her dogs and Dylan for a rather wet walk as the area had woken up to flooding after the overnight rain. The floodwater’s in our village was subsiding but you could see how close it had come to us and our neighbours as it had left a tide mark on the village green. Luckily our house is slightly elevated so we were never at serious risk.

This afternoon my friend Lori came to see Jack and have a little ride. He was good for her and she enjoyed it. After she rode, I got on and with her walking with me, we went for a short hack around the block. It was the first time I had taken him without another horse and I was so pleased as he was as good as gold.

We had another treat this evening as Sushi has come home for a few days and we had a call from Eldest who is 3 weeks into his travels across South America and currently in Peru.
