Food fest.....

Another one of those days.
Once I'd been round all the cattle,nabbed Kev and headed next door to help wee brother run the 21 Blks down from behind the top wood to a shed. Wasn't made any easier as they are used to being fed from his Land rover,but the clutch packed in last night so we had to use quads. Got there in the end though. Now we just need the buyer to collect them before too long so they aren't eating expensive winter keep that will be needed for other cattle later on.
Headed down the road to feed the heifers this afternoon. The rain has come back with a vengeance. The Scottish Power lot eventually came back to fill in the trench they made on Tuesday,so hopefully I might get some of them hauled home tomorrow. This will also take a lot longer than usual as the main road is still shut,so a wee cross-country diversion dodging all the speeding drivers on our single track roads will be in order
Littlemiss and her pals were at Craigies for lunch and to pick pumpkins today. They picked a nice day for it ! And she came back with a squash,not a pumpkin. However she remembered her old Dad, and got me a couple of empire biscuits . She said the farm shop was amazing and that we should diversify. Think I'm not a people person,so the answer is probably no..... Couldn't do it as well as John and Kirsteen any way !
