Inlet

Point Pleasant Beach is a borough in Ocean County, New Jersey and is the reason I was able to get up early this morning even though it was raining. It's funny because on most days I feel like I could easily go back to bed but promise me a trip to the beach and I'm up, showered and out the door without a complaint. (Shopping has this same effect.)
I will confess it wasn't only the fresh sea air and beach that got me up and out. I did have other reasons too. I go to this nice resort hotel with my sister for massages and so we are permitted to use the facilities of the hotel whenever we have an appointment. We use the gym, the indoor pool, the lounge etc. Afterwards we had a nice lunch at The Beanery in town. I had a warm chicken wrap that included peaches, pecans, brie, and lettuce with honey mustard on it! OMG it was so good!
We had torrential rain while in the gym but by the time we had lunch the sun came out. We drove over to the Manasquan Inlet so I could get this photo for my blip today. You can see the sky looks stormy and the water was pretty choppy but I think it added a dramatic look to the picture. No sooner did I get home and the rain started again. At least we had a little break in between downpours.
