Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

I cancelled my respiratory appointment this morning. No use going, because I haven’t been doing the exercises she gave me - ‘Breathe in count to five, breathe out count to eight’… Doesn’t sound right. I could do it a couple of times, but she wanted me do it for five whole minutes, several times a day. Impossible. I’m going to have to breathe incorrectly for the rest of my life, and just have to put up with any possible side effects… which I probably have been doing so far.

A bit of a stroll in the morning, and there are quite a few trees in the Links looking autumny. There were quite a few mums and babies out in the sun at the 'boot camp'. Good on them!

I took it easy today after my exertions yesterday, though I have managed 5,772 steps. JR took Archie out again in the afternoon, and Maggie arrived for a visit. Her mum and dad were going to see 'Killers of the Flower Moon'. It's three and a half hours long. It's a true story, and I think I'd like to see it, but it must be pretty hard to watch. We'll see what Jan thinks about it.

We all took a walk to the graveyard in the afternoon. We met Hamish at the crossroads. Archie went bonkers!! I tried to get a photo of the three dogs together, all looking and facing the same way, but it was impossible. It was slightly easier to get JR and the two dogs all looking at the camera.
