Strid walk

It was windy today but we found a sheltered walk.
We drove up to Bolton Abbey, bit the bullet and paid £15 to park (!) and walked up alongside the river to the Strid.
It was quite quiet and a pleasant walk. Theyd set up Halloween 'stations' along the way  in readiness for next weeks half term. We had fun looking at them.
It was quite cool under the trees but not windy. We realised that there was a path on the other side of the river which was in the sun and that seemed busier because it would have been warmer.
We stopped at the Pavilion cafe but there was very little food , a few cakes and some sad looking sandwiches, so we didnt get much but it filled a gap.

We stopped at the Rohan outlet shop on the way back but didnt buy anything.. we do seemed to have plenty of walking clothes already.

Back to the hotel and after a rest , Fletch was raring to go for his teatime walk. It's a delight to see he has such energy.
