My favourite place in all the world….
…Mullion Cove, on the Lizard Peninsula.
After a lie-in this morning having made the long journey yesterday, (with two breaks), we both read for awhile before going down the lane to the local Mullion Meadows Craft and Café centre for some lunch.
It has been fine and dry, albeit feeling the autumnal dampness after all the rain yesterday.
The wind has died down and we had a good walk from the centre down to the Cove and then climbed back up the steep cliff path, seen in the main photo, with me taking loads of photos as usual!
The man was just going down as we were nearing the top.
Whilst walking onwards along the SW coastal path wending its way along the tops of the steep cliffs, from our vantage point I could see there was a wedding taking place in the next cove along, called Pollurian.
The guests had to climb down the steep cliff path from the Polurrian Hotel which sits above the Cove.
I managed to take a short video from the cliff path above the cove and put it onto YouTube.
It does give you some idea of the size of the assembled group.

Hope it works should you want to have a look.
Now back in our snug bungalow for the week, the wind has lessened, and the weather is quieter outside.
The wedding party must have been so relieved that it was fine.
We encountered some of the guests in all their finery, climbing back up the steep cliff path where steps set into the path make it a little easier.
I discovered most of them came from Devon, then the rest from Cornwall, with an exception of a lady with one of the very young bridesmaid in her beautiful dress and by now muddy ballerina slipper shoes, who said she was from Norway.
The light is already beginning to fade a little.
Now I will get back to my latest read.
“Wavewalker”, recommended to me by my lovely friend Hélène, (who is also a Blipper).
It is written by Suzanne Heywood, and is the true story of her determination to return to England and have an education, after her father took her and her brother out of school, and along with their mother, and a small crew, were living on a sailing boat which turned into a 10 year voyage, around the world.
I am already gripped after two chapters!
Strictly will be watched of course!
