Sunny Daze

Isn't the world just a much happier place when the sun is shining. Went out with my friend for a wee cycle over the campsites before work and you could have sworn that it was the middle of the afternoon. The sun was warm and there was not a cloud in the sky. Makes you glad to be alive at these times. I am a great believer that we make our own experiences in life. I could have chosen to be looking at my eyelids while lying in bed but instead I was looking at the sun and some fantabulous views because I chose to set my alarm for 0400.

After spending the last few months covered up, this morning was the first morning that I could break out my Miranda specific summer outfit with the exception of the sandals as it was still a wee bit cold for that. It is the one major advantage of riding a bike like Miranda that you can just wear whatever takes your fancy. I really wish that I could wear the same attire that I wear to the coalface but I have too many hills to negotiate. I would arrive smellier than a coach load of skunks at a Pepé le pew conference. Another reason for moving to the Netherlands aka Cycling Mecca!
