For All Life's Moments

I've been into Cheltenham today and bought a white shirt. Not from John Lewis, though I had that in mind as a back up in case I failed elsewhere.

It was a more difficult task than I had expected.

Some of you suggested M&S so I went there first. It was a frustrating waste of time, £45 and nothing suitable in my size anyway. I could have bought a pack of three, but what would I do with the other two.

I went on to the shop where I bought my suit, as they had shown me a couple of possibilities. I got a different less knowledgeable assistant this time though and, yet again, nothing in my size, despite a wall full of white shirts. He checked in the store room and came out with a possibility, not exactly what I wanted, but only £19 so I bought it with the view that if it didn't look right I hadn't lost too much. I tried it on when I got home and it is OK. Phew.

So I have all the gear now, just need to put the finishing touches to my speech.

I meant to take a photo of the shirts for an Abstract Thursday image, but forgot. I thought the JL windows with their repetition would do just as well though. Three images joined in Lightroom.

It was quite warm and sunny in the town this morning, raining quite steadily now though.
