The Batcave

We've been down to Wapping today to go to grandson Joe's 6th birthday party.

This was the first photo I took as he was showing us his presents, probably the best one I got all day. The batcave is rather large. They are going to need a bigger house, or another storage unit one day.

The party was held in the church where daughter#1 was married and where Joe was christened. It was, as you might expect, quite chaotic. I think nearly all Joe's classmates came. There was a disco (run by SIL#1) with lights and a smoke machine, then pizza, then cake. Also Prosecco, though not for the children of course. At the end 40 party bags were given out.

It's difficult taking photos of other people's children, The extra is a multiple exposure of musical statues. I think Wonder Woman is in there somewhere.

After the party we went back to the house. I helped Joe assemble a 7+ Lego kit, though he didn't need any help really. He had lots of nice presents from his friends, as well as over £200 in cash from those that didn't buy a present. I think he already has his eye on a £130 Lego kit.

It took a team effort to tidy up the church afterwards. Mrsfb and I eventually retired to our favourite Premier Inn. We slept well.

Oh, in other news Pompey got their first win of the season, at the 10th attempt.
