It Already Has

Mrsfb had appointments in Witney today for hair, brows and nails, in preparation for next week.

I tagged along and called into Sainsbury's for a few things, and to get some euros to top up our cash for next week too. The lad at the currencies desk offered me a pretty poor rate. I hadn't realised that you get a much better deal if you order on line. He wouldn't match the on line rate but said I could order on line and then come back in four hours and collect them. I declined. I have to say the whole Sainsbury's shopping experience was pretty poor. They are making some 'exciting changes' to the Witney store, but at the moment the car park and store itself are a bit of a mess.

I had a much better response re the euros at the TUI branch. Initially their rate was worse than Sainsbury's but they quickly agreed to match the on line rates I had seen.

The main blip indicates worrying times for Witney I think. The closing down sign is actually for Trespass, The Phase Eight shop is empty now apart from the couple of mannequins. You can just see the edge of the closed Crew shop on the right, and the salon opposite Phase Eight where mrsfb had her nails and brows done is closing down soon. Although they seemed very busy the owner said she just couldn't keep up with the rising costs of everything.

The extra was going to be the main blip with the title Rades Of Witn. After 26 years I finally had a look around the Witney Blanket Hall. This plaque was on the wall in the café garden at the back.

Another blipmeet anniversary. There was a lot more autumn colour about last year.
