A souvenir of Venice

I had hoped my sore throat last night was just imaginary but it woke me during the night and in the morning I didn’t feel great. My Covid test was negative but I’ve had a lazy day. Our Venice break came only 2 days after returning from the stressful van trip so I had no time to rest.

I’ve done the washing and made Mr C his favourite meal - leek, carrot, mushroom, butter bean and cheese bake to heat up later. Then I had a long slow soak in the bath followed by a slonking on the sofa day reading the book I didn’t have time to read in Venice - Donna Leon’s “Death at La Fenice”. It was a nice easy read and fun as I knew where places mentioned were.
