Pleasures in Bloom

This image is very special to me. It's the first ever bloom from a tree paeoni planted in my garden just over three years ago.

I paid little tribute to a bud that I noticed recently but was over the moon today when I was greeted by this glorious single bloom.

Sometimes the small pleasures in life are the best :-).
