Acer Japonicum

The leaves on certain trees and shrubs turn to the most wonderful shades of reds and oranges at this time of year and it seems that the chillier the weather conditions the more vibrant the autumnal colours.

The gardening boys came this morning and what a great job they did .... grass, edges, earth, contoneaster, pyracantha, hedge, ivy and leaves all dealt with and all all clippings and grass taken away. Kieran asked if I wanted my ornamental pear tree pruned .... that task is on hold till the leaves have fallen.
