Grey Day!

A rather different view of St Peter Port today taken from the edge of the Ladies Pool at La Vallette Bathing Places...yes, that is what we used to call them.
I blipped the ladies pool with the tide up, a few weeks ago, you may remember LINK
You can still see Elizabeth College, Victoria Tower and to the right, St James on the skyline!
The beach in the foreground, behind the rocks in called Havelet and is the beach which used to be used primary by residents of St Peter Port.
The building peeping out between the trees is part of the headquarters of Credit Suisse
On Saturday you would have seen a huge crane there as Credit Suisse installed 2 new emergency generators behind the building, to maintain their computer systems, should Guernsey Electricity lose the plot!
Most of our electricity comes via an undersea cable from France via Jersey (the shortest practical route) ...nuclear I believe.
We do have a large power station but it runs on diesel fuel which is rather expensive for long term.
