Nice old corner of Bristol

Not many really old buildings left - but here are some, clustered around the Christmas Steps, a rather Dickensian flight of stone stairs with little old shops on both sides. I used to walk up them every morning 33/34 years ago when I worked in a bookshop up the top.
Today I was going up them to get up to the hospital which is at the very top of the extremely steep St Michaels Hill. This is about 7.15 am. I was so worried about being late that I was ridiculously early. Interesting to see the city centre at this time, lots of people going to early jobs, lots of cafes serving breakfast and coffees, smelling delicious. I was going for a scan which I hope will set my mind at rest.
