Wall Job

I've spent all day working on the next bit of retaining wall in the rear garden. It's twice as long as the section of wall that I repaired and painted a few weeks back.

First job was to remove the slate chips from the border. I will wash them and reinstate them on top of some weed control fabric. Secondly,  I attacked the wall with paint scrapers, wire brush and a stiff brush to remove the areas of loose paint and render. Finally I patched up some of the defective render. Ready to paint when the weather allows.

My knees are starting to complain.
