Bird River

The showers soon gave way to a sunny, mild and breezy afternoon. I had a short walk to the post box and around the village.

This evening we headed over to Prestatyn. After picking up an order from M&S, we had a meal at the Four Seasons Bistro and then headed to the library for a book launch by John Davies, a former English teacher, a poet and wood carver.

The book "Bird River" devotes chapters to wood carving, the art of sourcing driftwood along the river, and shares personal portraits of many figures of note in the wood carving or literary spheres.  Birds and the River Clwyd are the threads that ties the whole together.
