Life through the lens...

Market day lunch

Another lovely day as we walked down into the town on market day.

The centre photo is the lunch we prepared when we got back.

The photos round the outside a selection of ones taken at the market.

We bought melons from Cavaillon.
Strawberries from Carpentras.
Lettuce, potatoes, radish, asparagus, tomatoes, courgettes, cucumber, from a little village a couple of miles away, called Piegon. They have a stall in the small farmers part of the market.
Pate, sausage, and cheese from Vaison.
Bread from the local bakery.

All tasted so fresh, as it was probably only picked or made yesterday or this morning.

Had a rest in the afternoon, and then walked into the town and up to the medieval part. Beautiful views over to Mt Ventoux and the surrounding hills.

A week gone since we set off. How time flies!
