Poorly Shrew

This morning Ali and I headed off to Groove for a change of scenery for the marathon training. When runs get to 20 miles long, you can easily get bored of running laps around Shrewsbury. Thankfully, it’s not me doing the marathon training this time, so I was delighted to be the support crew on the bike. I nearly ran over this poorly baby Shrew who was limping across the road. We moved it to the side where we hoped he would have a more peaceful end than being squashed by a car, or worse, a bike.

After a cup of tea at Groove, mum and dad joined us at the Royal Hill for a proper pub lunch, along with Niki and her daughters who had been off running around Earl’s Hill that morning. A wonderful collection of people for a delicious bit of stodge.
