Dreamy day off

For the first time since Vyrnwy, I woke up with a back that wasn’t sore. Massive relief about that as I had a date with Eva and the Long Mynd. We took it easy today, just a gentle 10km over the top to Pole Bank but it was glorious. Sunshine, good conversations, soft ground under foot and views for days. So happy to be back out in the hills. Finally looking forward to autumn and winter and getting properly back out there.

An afternoon pint in the sunshine with Grace, catching up on all the school news and rejoicing at being outside.

Did the (final?) grass cut and tidy up of the garden. A little bit of yoga. And then a cup of coffee and some maps.

Glorious.
