New old towel rack

A couple of weeks ago, Katharine found an abandoned towel rack in her sister's garage in Aberdeen. She remembered that I was looking for one and brought it back to Edinburgh for me. It's in a bit of a sorry state (blipped), but it can be saved! When it's repainted white it will go next to the radiator in our spare bedroom. It should match neatly with the stool in guest bathroom

Paddy kindly volunteered to undertake the towel rack restoration job. He made a start on it today after he put a coat of paint on the shed and restained some of our garden furniture.

Mr hazelh and I are still in 'reboot' mode, taking advantage of a gap between hosting guests. So we took things easy again today.

Having missed the Monday supermarket run yesterday, we did this today instead. Then we drove down to Leith to donate some excess furniture to the Bethany shop. We handed over an antique dressing table mirror, a standalone tiered vegetable rack, and a set of folding wooden shelves. Giving away this furniture has freed some space in our outdoors storage, so on our return from the charity shop we reorganised some items in two of our cellars. We also fitted in a game of Scrabble before supper. (Mr hazelh won).

Tomorrow we will resume our usual routine, including proper exercise.

Exercise today: none.
