Scrumping

Today OH was playing in a golf competition.  I didn't have plans so started the day with a walk (after driving around to feed MIL's cat).  The weather was lovely and there were pickers in the field harvesting the apples.  I picked one for my breakfast and it was delicious.

Home for a bit of gardening.  The ground was lovely after all the rain and I did a bit of weeding and planted out some of the poppies which I had grown from seeds that I had harvested from the poppy heads.  Hope they do ok over the winter?  

I was booked to give blood in the afternoon so after a busy morning I made sure to have some lunch before going - was not able to give blood once due to low iron count so this time didn't want a wasted journey.  All ok but it has been around 4 years since I last donated so was treated as a 'newbie'.  Unfortunately no tea available post donation but just cold drinks and biscuits.  I wonder why?

OH home when I got back with goodies - he came second.  I'm happy for him to play if he comes back with wine!
